s Clinical Anatomy Upper Limb USMLE MCQ: Nerve injury of the brachial plexus.
A 20-year-old man, riding pillion on a snowmobile, was involved in an accident. The machine was traveling at high speed when it hit a tree stump buried in snow. The man was thrown 12 ft. and landed on his right shoulder and the right side of his head. After 3 weeks of hospitalization, it was noticed that he kept his right arm internally rotated by his side with the forearm pronated. An area of anesthesia was present along the lateral side of the upper part of the arm.

The following statements concerning this patient are correct except which?

he answer for this question would be C. The radial nerve would not lose its function as its a derivative of C7 not C5-6.
